OSHA investigating death of flagger killed while working in Lancaster County

A construction flagger was killed Thursday after she was struck by a vehicle in Manor Township.

OSHA announced that it is now investigating the death.

The flagger was struck around 7:38 a.m. on Stone Mill Road at its intersection with Plymouth Road, according to emergency dispatchers.

The Lancaster County Coroner said the flagger, identified as Linetta Wells, 56, of Pottstown, was struck by an SUV. She was pronounced dead at 8:38 a.m.

After an autopsy on Monday, Wells' cause of death was found to be multiple traumatic injuries, and her manner of death was ruled accidental.
